Tirzepatide is a dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist — it activates two metabolic signaling pathways instead of one. Often a fit for patients who plateau on semaglutide or have insulin resistance / metabolic syndrome alongside their weight loss goals. Once-weekly subcutaneous injection.
